Talking about books, reading, and the craft of writing is second only to writing books as Heather's favorite part of being an author. She seeks to inspire future writers with lively, anecdotal sessions that include a humorous PowerPoint presentation, a look at how authors get their ideas and shape them into stories, discussion of the writing and editing process, a creative writing experience, and plenty of time for questions so students can satisfy their curiosity about the writer's life and work.

$1,000 per day outside of Oregon
