Novelist and winner of the Scott O'Dell Award for Historical Fiction, Alexandria is also an associate professor of children's literature and creative writing. Full of energy, an accomplished researcher, fascinated by words, Alexandria is a delightful speaker.

 
 
  Fee: $1,200 for school days; $1,000 for conferences  
 

 
   

Teachers' and writers' conferences, speaking up to two one-hour sessions and critiquing manuscripts or participating in a panel.

Elementary, middle, and high school, may include up to four one-hour sessions with a 10-minute break between presentations. Teacher in-service presentations day before, evening before, or day of school visit (add $300 or in lieu of one student session). No additional fee for PTA reading, 30-minute talk, and Q&A.

For trips more than 50 miles from author's home, host will pay transportation, hotel, and meals.
