Maryann Macdonald
Maryann Macdonald - author

Maryann grew up wanting to be a writer but not knowing how to make that possible. No one she knew in the Detroit suburbs was a writer. Luckily, she finally met a real writer who was also a real person and then made the connection...real people could be writers, too! Since then, she's written 21 books for children, and loves talking to people of all ages about how they can use their own emotions and enthusiasms, as well as the people and things they love and hate, to make up characters and stories that seem real, even though they're not.
