Middle grade novelist Jane St. Anthony will talk with students in grades 4 through 8 about being a freelance writer and getting an opportunity to write books for a living. Jane's first novel, The Summer Sherman Loved Me, met with a welcoming response for a smart, funny, and active book, appealing to both boys and girls. Grace Above All has earned high praise as an engaging book set at a summer cabin in the north woods with a family that surprises and warms the reader's heart.
Fee:
$800 for schools (multiple days, half days, Mpls/St Paul area negotiable)
$800 for conferences
Elementary and middle schools may include up to four one-hour sessions with a 10-minute break between presentations. Teacher in-service presentations or speaking to the PTA on the day before, evening before, or day of school visit.
Writers' conferences, teaching and reading conferences, book clubs, libraries ... Jane will have you laughing while you learn about writing.
For trips more than 50 miles from author's home, host will pay for transportation, hotel, and meals.
