Maryann Weidt - author
Maryann enjoys speaking to younger children about her picture book, Daddy Played Music for the Cows, and to older children about the many essential biographies she has written about Dr. Seuss, Levi Strauss, Frederick Douglass, Rosa Parks, Judy Blume, and more. Adults give high marks to her writing workshops and conference presentations.

Fee: $800 for conferences and schools (multiple days negotiable)

One- to two-day conferences, speaking up to two one-hour sessions and critiquing manuscripts or participating in a panel.

Elementary and middle grade, may include up to four 50-minute sessions with a 10-minute break between presentations. Would love to visit a bookstore in your city and perhaps speak at the public library as well.

For trips more than 50 miles from author's home, host will pay transportation, hotel, and meals.
