We work with a wide variety of authors on a project-specific basis. In these cases, we might take on a few individual projects on your behalf: designing your web site or creating a promotional piece for you. We enjoy this chance to expand our connections with a number of the creative individuals whose books appeal to children.

For a select few clients, we offer a full-service package tailored to your needs. Our organizational identity depends on maintaining our ability to think of each of our clients as individuals. That means we’ve had to be selective when taking on full-service clients—we want to succeed in meeting your expectations.

If you are a writer or illustrator, how do you know if you are meant to be a Winding Oak “full-service” client? Here are some key markers we’ve identified for those of you who have asked:

		We represent only writers, illustrators, or publishers who focus on books for children or young adults.
		We are looking for clients whose books are exceptional, and who share our passion for putting them into the hands of children.
		We seek authors and illustrators who consider this work to be their profession and are prepared to treat it as such. This means that they are able to devote time, energy, and financial resources to the goal of expanding their audience and promoting their books.
		Most of our full-service clients are established in their career as a writer or illustrator. It is usually not until someone is well-established that they are in a position to be able to devote financial resources to developing their career.
